Hello again everyone! I've been busy over the holiday season but have had the chance to do a lot of thinking about where Arvyre will be headed this new year. These plans will likely change and I don't want to assign any dates just yet, but at least they will give you an idea of Arvyre's direction.

The new adoption system. Silver will be removed and replaced with "adoption points", of which everyone will automatically earn day by day based on your:

User levels. Accounts will grow as pets do, unlocking new pets and features as they do. Gold will allow the user to bypass the adoption point and account level limits placed on pets.

More pets! Including the old ones we've all come to love. Rather than a few pets at a time, the full range will be available to anyone with the level required and adoption points to spare.

Ultimately the goal is to have as much content - especially when it comes to pets - as possible. Hopefully this simplified system will encourage new and old users to be involved.

The Ravine Pet Pack is finally 100% live! I've had new players and rich players equally in mind while creating these pets, so hopefully there'll be a pet for everyone.

This pet pack will be around until the new year, joined shortly by the Frost Pet Pack. You can look forward to those new pets and a bunch of other exciting updates over the Christmas holidays! :D

I can happily say that out MySQL server has been "unplugged" and the "water" seems to be flowing freely once again. :)

If you picture the server as a heart, and its temporary data as cholesterol and other debris, it effectively had a heart attack. We'll see how well the "CPR" worked over the next few days. It seems the influx of new pets lead to an influx of traffic (inoright) - I'll make this a weekly thing to monitor from now on and we shouldn't have any more lag issues.

Thanks for your patience everyone! My own time's been clogged with exams and wrap-up homework, but after next week I'll have every Thursday and Friday free to dedicate to Arvyre. :)

I can confirm that the Harvest Pet Pack will remain until the ~15th of November, with the next Pet Pack due to be released on the 1st. There'll also be another *secret* release that can keep you in anticipation. ;)

Brb - exam time

Three brand new pets have been added to the store: The harvest genet, wyrm and beetle, each with hundreds of possible variations!

I must warn you though, they're only available for the month of October, after which they'll be replaced by the next pet pack. Since this is going to become our new system, the pre-existing pets will also be removed from the store (to return at undefined dates).

We hope to keep Arvyre fresh and exciting, and also to add a certain scarcity to your pets. So make the most of these pets while they're available - they just might be worth something when the trade feature is released!
